For the fifth consecutive year, Beth Wilkinson was honored among Benchmark Litigation’s prestigious “Top 10 Women in Litigation,” an elite subset of the “Top 250 Women in Litigation” singled out “specifically for their litigious acumen” and celebrated for receiving the most prominent and emphatic “best-in-class” nominations during Benchmark’s 2025 research cycle. Partners Keri Arnold, Moira Penza, and Cali Arat were all selected for another consecutive year among the “Top 250 Women in Litigation,” a guide that acknowledges the women who have played pivotal roles in the most consequential recent litigation matters. These women have won the respect of colleagues and clients alike, distinguishing themselves as leaders in their respective practice areas. Cali was also selected alongside Partner Sarah Neuman to Benchmark’s 2025 USA 40 & Under list which recognizes “the top emerging talent in litigation” and most promising young lawyers who are shaping the future of the legal industry.
Beth has served as lead counsel in over 50 jury trials, including numerous bet-the-company, multibillion-dollar cases. She has developed an unrivaled record of victories in federal and state courts throughout the country. Beth most recently positioned Hewlett Packard Enterprise (“HPE”) to complete its $14 billion acquisition of Juniper Networks, when on the eve of trial, just days after the submission of substantive pre-trial filings, the DOJ agreed to a resolution that maintains HPE’s vision of the deal and will facilitate increased competition in wireless networking. Beth also recently led the trial team that secured judgment as a matter of law for the NFL and its 32 member teams in a class action lawsuit challenging the distribution of the Sunday Ticket subscription package and the NFL’s media agreements more generally.
Keri is a trial attorney with over twenty years’ experience defending companies in product liability, environmental, and complex commercial litigation. She has tried over a dozen cases to verdict, including seven as first-chair trial counsel, on behalf of major pharmaceutical, tobacco, and energy companies, and has extensive experience developing complex medical and scientific evidence for presentation at trial. Keri was a member of the trial team that secured a groundbreaking victory for Microsoft, defeating the FTC’s efforts to enjoin its $68.7 billion acquisition of Activision Blizzard and winning the second-biggest merger trial in American history. She also represents a major chemical manufacturer in the Aqueous Film-Forming Foams Products Liability Litigation in the District of South Carolina, considered the most significant PFAS litigation in the country.
First and foremost a trial lawyer, Moira has a record of success leading and winning high-stakes civil and criminal cases. Moira previously served as trial counsel defending Altria Group, Inc. in the first government entity bellwether trial in multidistrict litigation arising out of Altria’s minority investment in JUUL Labs, Inc. Moira played a substantial role at trial, cross-examining two of plaintiffs’ expert witnesses, and just one day after resting their case, plaintiffs ultimately agreed to a global settlement with Altria that favorably resolved over 6,000 cases in state and federal courts. Moira continues to defend Altria against private antitrust claims arising from the same investment in Juul, and leads the defense of Cargill, the largest privately held company in America, in multidistrict litigation alleging anticompetitive conduct in the cattle and beef industries.
Since joining the firm at its founding in 2016, Cali has served as a key member of more than half of the firm’s trial teams. She has helped to develop and execute successful trial strategies for corporate clients across a diverse set of industries in products liability and antitrust matters, from pharmaceuticals to sports to social media. Cali’s experience includes jury and bench trials, in both state and federal court, as well as numerous arguments at both the trial and appellate level. Her most recent work includes representing the NCAA in negotiations to secure a historic settlement that resolved its sprawling name, image, and likeness (“NIL”) litigation, and serving as trial counsel for Monsanto in its first successful defense of the weedkiller Roundup against claims that it causes non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma.
Sarah has been a member of numerous winning trial teams since joining the firm, most recently the firm’s trial win in the FTC’s suit challenging Microsoft’s $68.7 billion acquisition of Activision Blizzard. Sarah played a key strategic role with economic experts who testified at the five-day bench trial, following which a federal court judge denied the FTC’s motion for preliminary injunction, a decision that was recently unanimously affirmed by the Ninth Circuit. Sarah also represents multinational software company SAP in litigation involving trade secret, patent, and antitrust claims, and serves alongside Moira as a lead member of the team defending Cargill in a series of civil antitrust cases alleging a conspiracy to constrain output and raise prices in the cattle and beef industry.
