Jolee Porter

Jolee is a former federal prosecutor and seasoned trial attorney, with a record of success leading and winning high-stakes cases.

Before joining the firm, Jolee spent more than a decade in public service at the U.S. Department of Justice, including as an Assistant United States Attorney for the Northern District of Georgia in Atlanta and a Trial Attorney for the Public Integrity Section in Washington, D.C. In those roles, Jolee led many complex criminal investigations and prosecutions, including cases involving racketeering, wire and healthcare fraud, money laundering, public corruption, election threats, and human trafficking.  Her record of success includes the indictment of then-sitting Congressman George Santos, resulting in his guilty plea, and the trial conviction of an Atlanta government official.  Jolee also successfully briefed and argued multiple appeals before the Eleventh Circuit.

Most recently, Jolee served as Senior Counsel at the Computer Crime and Intellectual Property Section. In that role, she led investigations and prosecutions of complex transnational cybercrimes, including some of the largest and most sensitive cyberattacks on U.S. companies and critical infrastructure. In 2024, Jolee received two U.S. Attorney’s awards for her work in public corruption and healthcare fraud.   

Jolee has conducted numerous training courses for law enforcement and judges, both domestically and abroad, on a wide range of issues. Jolee also served as the Elder Justice Coordinator for the Northern District of Georgia, leading the Department’s mission to combat international fraud rings targeting seniors.

In addition to her practice, Jolee is committed to the professional development of newer attorneys and led the mentoring program for women in the DOJ’s Criminal Division from 2023 to 2025.

Jolee began her career at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison, where she handled product liability, securities, and other complex litigation matters and helped secure favorable results, including trial victories, for a broad range of clients across industries.

Notable Matters

  • Trial counsel for Kynetic and Michael Rubin in an action by the founders of the flash sale site, Rue La La, alleging that the company and its CEO conspired with eBay to deprive them of the value of their company, resulting in a complete defense verdict.
  • Represented Philip Morris USA in a consumer class action involving Light cigarettes and multibillion-dollar damage claims, including developing a comprehensive strategy for jury selection. After the first trial resulted in a hung jury, prepared witnesses and helped develop strategy for the successful retrial.
  • Represented Pfizer in multi-district litigation regarding the hormone therapy medication Prempro, including a matter involving defense verdict after trial.
  • First chair for the government in United States v. Macrina, a successful two-week federal criminal trial against a former City of Atlanta Commissioner involving charges of conspiracy and bribery.
  • Represented company in securities class action in the Southern District of New York.
