Kristen Stoicescu

Associate

Kristen is an Associate at Wilkinson Stekloff. Prior to joining the firm, Kristen was a litigation associate at Kirkland & Ellis.

Kristen graduated from Northwestern Pritzker School of Law, where she was an Executive Editor of Northwestern University Law Review, a teaching assistant to Professor Joshua Kleinfeld (Criminal Law) and Rick Levin (Advanced Trial Practice), the President of the Federalist Society, a member of the Moot Court Society, and a Captain of the Bartlit National Trial Team. During law school, Kristen served as a Summer Honors Program Intern at the United States Securities & Exchange Commission, a Student Attorney in the Bluhm Legal Clinic Center for Criminal Defense, and a Judicial Extern to the Honorable John Z. Lee of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. After law school, Kristen served as a Public Interest Graduate Fellow at the Chicago Legal Clinic.

Before law school, Kristen worked as a finance associate at the U.S. headquarters of a global healthcare company and volunteered as the Assistant Coach of the Northern Illinois University Mock Trial Program.

Notable Matters

  • Member of a trial team defending Allergen in City and County of San Francisco, et al. v. Purdue Pharma L.P., et al., which involved claims that opioid manufacturers created a public nuisance and violated California’s Unfair Competition Law. After three months of trial, a favorable settlement was reached prior to closing arguments.
