Overview

Wilkinson Stekloff offers a summer program in Washington, DC., to a select group of exceptional 2L and pre-clerkship 3L law students who demonstrate an interest in high-stakes trial practice.  Summer associates receive training, mentorship, and the opportunity for trial experience in addition to a summer associate salary.  Our approach to attorney development was featured by the Washington Lawyer, detailing what our associates experience firsthand: a firm where junior lawyers immediately experience real growth opportunities. For those summers who intend to split with another firm or organization, we typically ask the summer to spend at least 6 weeks with our firm.  Summer associates can choose when over the course of the summer to commence their term.

Application Process

Candidates for the firm’s summer program are considered on a rolling basis. The following materials are required:

• Cover letter
• Resume
• Law school transcript

Given the unique selectivity of the summer program, the firm encourages applicants who are not selected for summer positions to apply for full-time associate positions at the firm upon completion of law school or a clerkship.
